The Science Connection is a dating website that hones in on a very specific interest. Users who work in science related fields can find love with other intelligent, science focused singles. The site is also intended to help anyone with a general interest in science and nature to discover others with a similar passion.  The site’s founders wanted to build a resource that an individual with a passion for or career in scientific studies could use to find others and make connections. The Science Connection website was originally launched in 1991.

The Science Connection website has a rather toned down appearance, although it is very clean and well-organized. Users will not find flashy graphics or cutting edge design elements however they will find scientifically witty content and a number of entertaining features. The Science Connection Community

The Science Connection covers a large age group, with the only main common trait being a love of science and nature. The site claims a number of users who adore natural history such as birding and other outdoor activities. The age groups range from those in their 20s and up. Scientific focus varies, but some users are either employed in or feel a strong attraction to technology, social and behavioral sciences, computers, law, teaching, business, music and the arts. The Science Connection community is built around a desire to explore scientific studies; however it also encompasses many other common interests shared by its users.
