The Look of Spark.com

The Spark.com website has a very warm, cozy feel to it, utilizing a number of warm, earthy colors.  The homepage includes an image of a smiling girl in a grassy field as well as textured backgrounds and rich oranges and yellows. Much like other dating websites, Spark.com is well organized and uses a clean layout.  One of the main differences is the site’s choice of color scheme and other design elements that make it appear more natural to a new user. Spark.com member dating profiles are accessible by using the search tool found on the website. The tool takes the user through each question one by one before displaying the results.

The Spark.com Community

Spark.com encourages singles of all nationalities, ethnicities and religious backgrounds to join the community. The site does not set specific age group requirements beyond the 18 year minimum. The warm design seems in tune with those in their late 20s or early 30s. The community consists of men and women who are gay, straight and lesbian. Users who are interested in specific communities can also try other websites found within the Spark Network.

Spark.com Features

Spark.com offers its users many of the similar search features and profile building tools that other dating websites users. The initial search allows the user to narrow down their options by gender, sexual preference, smoking and drinking habits and the type of relationship the user is in search of. The site also allows all of its users to communicate, regardless of which demographic they fall into.  Additional informational resources are also available, including a page discussing online dating safety.  The SparkTV feature gives users entertaining video clips to watch that were produced by Spark.com. Users can also participate in interactive features such as the Spark.com message boards and chat rooms or send ecards to other users.
